HOME IS WHERE LAY MY HEAD

130cm x 100 cm
Acrylic, acrylic medium and oil on recycled heavy cotton canvas
This is a deeply personal and expressive piece, created through movement, layering, and an intuitive approach to color.
Painted this year, it embraces the dance of creation—palette knives sweeping across the canvas, brushes loaded with multiple colors, fingertips blending soft pastels, and misty sprays adding depth.
The painting evokes a sense of comfort and safety, a place to return to in the mind whenever home is needed. Feathers were an inspiration—those drifting from a pillowcase, floating weightlessly through the air—capturing a feeling of lightness and peace.
The process itself was fluid and free, full of energy yet resulting in something beautifully soft and soothing.
